**ADD PARAFFIN WAX to your massage for $10 (hands or feet) - just make note in "reason for visit" section while booking or you can add it at the time of your appointment.

Paraffin wax is a soft wax with a low melting point, melting at a temperature cool enough to safely immerse skin. The wax treatment acts as a thermotherapy, that increases blood flow, relaxes muscles, and reduces stiffness and pain in joints.

Its therapeutic benefits are soothing for conditions like osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis and fibromyalgia. It also reduces swelling by lowering fluid retention and flushing toxins. Paraffin wax can also help with minimizing muscle spasms and inflammation, and to treat sprains, strains, tendonitis and bursitis. Treatments open pores and remove dead skin cells, rejuvenating skin and making it feel silky and smooth. It is a natural emollient so it adds moisture to the skin and it creates a barrier on your skin that helps retain the oils that your body naturally produces. Due to its effects on the skin, paraffin wax can also soften hardened skin caused by scleroderma, by increasing the skin's elasticity, allowing for improved movement and mobility.

CONTRAINDICATIONS: You should avoid using paraffin wax if you have poor blood circulation, if you have numbness in your hands or feet, if you're diabetic or if you have any rashes or open sores.

Chelsey Forbes is a Registered Massage Therapist who offers thoughtful, individualized care for people seeking relief from pain, stress, and physical tension — and who value a whole-body approach to health.

Chelsey graduated in 2009 from the 3,000-hour diploma program at the West Coast College of Massage Therapy in Victoria. With over a decade of experience, she combines strong clinical skills with a calm, nurturing presence to help clients feel supported, safe, and truly listened to throughout their care.

Chelsey believes that the body functions best when it is well supported — through movement, rest, hydration, nourishment, and regular self-care. Her treatments are not “one-size-fits-all”; each session is tailored to the individual, taking into account health history, current concerns, lifestyle demands, and personal goals.

Whether you are managing ongoing pain, recovering from injury, navigating pregnancy, or simply needing space to reset, Chelsey works with you to create a treatment plan that feels both effective and sustainable.

Her clinical interests include postural imbalances, headaches and neck tension, jaw (TMJ) dysfunction, low back pain, sciatica and hip issues, sports and activity-related strain, stress-related tension, and prenatal care. Chelsey also enjoys working with children and teens, supporting healthy movement patterns early on.

Chelsey integrates a variety of techniques into her treatments, including deep tissue and Swedish massage, trigger point therapy, muscle energy techniques, joint mobilizations, passive stretching, and contract-relax methods — always adapting pressure and approach to suit your body and comfort level.

Outside of the treatment room, Chelsey enjoys time with family and friends, being outdoors, hiking, yoga, reading, travel, and her own self-care practices — all of which inform her grounded, compassionate approach to helping others feel their best.

Excellent massage therapist! Been seeing her for years. Top notch service and consultation to diagnose pain and problem! Always feel amazing after a visit. -Damon

After a car accident in 2011 I was suffering from stiff neck, shoulders and could not relax. I needed someone who could be gentle and strong at the same time. Chelsey took time to listen to what I was experiencing before I lay on the table. She know exactly what I needed to help my body relax and at the same time recovery from my injuries. She gave me exercises to do in between treatments that really helped. My body trusted her and so I was able to completely let go and allow her to give me the best massage I have had in this city. I would highly recommend her because she doesn’t just work on your body she works with your body and knows, when, where and what it needs most. -Beth

I came across Chelsey by chance while visiting Victoria. I have a chronic “bad back” and I was very impressed with her professionalism and quick ability to assess the situation and to “triage” a way to get me the best relief in the shortest period of time. She was also very practical in her after care suggestions. I have been back several times and have recently made another appointment. I truly believe she makes an excellent addition to one’s health care team. -Anne
